Retriever Client and Collection Server
SciCare Retriever Client

• SciCare Retriever Client is a load-on-boot set-top application with the ability to sample and relay both diagnostic and linear viewership data. The Client interfaces with the Retriever Collector.

SciCare Retriever Collection Server

• SciCare Retriever Collector is sever software that interfaces with Retriever Client for collection of both diagnostic and linear viewership data.
• Retriever Collector manages the messaging protocol for out-of-band traffic to the Retriever Client, provides the configuration to the Retriever Client, performs appropriate hashing of collected viewership data, and outputs collected data into a defined schema in the Retriever Warehouse.
• Diagnostic data that is periodically pushed upstream can be used for proactive monitoring of the system and HFC plant.
• Viewership data can be used to optimize local ad sales, enhance marketing programs, increase CSR sales effectiveness, and understand the value of programming content.

Retriever Marketing

• SciCare Retriever Marketing is a web-based application that interfaces with the SciCare Retriever Collector, and summarizes collected linear viewership data for basic analysis.
• Marketing and operations personnel can evaluate channel rankings and examine minute-by-minute viewing behavior patterns.

Retriever Tech Ops

• Retriever Tech Ops is a web-based application that summarizes collected diagnostic data.
• The application provides Tech Ops managers with scorecards to direct maintenance techs for targeted preventative sweeps and balancing efforts.
